Text

"An hour's ride brought me to the house of the gentleman where I was to spend the night. So ended my pilgrimage to Lough Derg - a pilgrimage I recomment such persons to make, as would study Popery in one of its chief holds over the consciences of mankind, and learn to bless that benign Providence which vouchsafed to our ancestors, grace, and strength, to break her enthralling chains, and to stand fast in the liberty, with which Christ had made them free."
