Perennial. July. English type. Range in Britain, 50° — 57°. Throughout Ireland. Wet pastures and wastes. Frequent.

Tullaghan, near Monaghan, Mr. Templeton ; near Belfast, at Springfield, and Lagan side, Mr. Millen. Frequent in Tyrone; Clones, and Monaghan; at town of Sligo ; abundant between Ballyshannon and Enniskillen ; Bundoran ; abundant from town of Donegal to Killybegs ; Donegal to Pettigo ; by the Quoil river, near Downpatrick, &c. Increases in frequency towards the West, G. D."
