Text

"The waters which issue from Lough Derg are conveyed by the stream bearing its name to the Strule river, which it joins on the high road between New town-Stewart and Strabane. It enters the county of Tyrone on leaving the lake, and receives in its progress the Glendergan and Mourne, and many other mountain streams, and waters the small town of Castlederg."
